In Money Care's weekend report, we present you with the overview of the listed companies that will release figures in the coming week. In addition, you will find the weekly overview of macroeconomic events that may cause movement in the stock markets.

Brief review of last week:

Among other things, we discussed the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), or the US Purchasing Managers' Index. It measures purchasing managers' confidence and the direction of the economy through a survey of production, orders, employment, inventory levels, and delivery times. The results for March were mixed. The manufacturing PMI was lower than expected and also below 50, implying that people in the manufacturing sector are expecting a downturn. On the contrary, the PMI for the services sector was higher than expected and well above 50. In the services sector, US purchasing managers expect growth in the economy. Because of the mixed picture, the figures had little impact on financial markets.

Next week:

Friday at 2:30 p.m. Dutch time, a lot of impact on financial markets is indeed expected because that is when the monthly labor figures in the U.S. will be released. These figures are known in the industry as the Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP), or non-farm payrolls. The NFP measures the change in the number of people employed during the last month in all non-farm businesses.

It also publishes the unemployment rate and average hourly earnings. Part of the Fed's job is to provide maximum stimulus to the labor market. This is part of its monetary policy. The NFP is leading the Fed in this regard. Expectations are not very high. Analysts expect an increase in hourly earnings of 0.3%. This is similar to the previous figure. The unemployment rate is expected to have increased from 4.1 to 4.2, and the number of new jobs increased by 128,000. This is lower than in February. As a result, a slightly declining labor market is generally anticipated by the market.
