AEX, Nasdaq, and Dow Jones Update - June 25, 2026
Publication Date: June 25, 2026
AEX
On Thursday, June 25, the AEX stood at 1,070 points during the morning session. That represents a decline of 11 points, or 1%, compared to last week.
Market development
The trading week got off to a positive start. On Monday, the AEX reached its highest level of the week at 1,087 points. On Tuesday, investor concerns grew over the high valuations of AI-related companies. On Wednesday, the AEX fell back to its lowest level of the week so far, at 1,060 points. Ahead of the release of inflation figures on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., the stock market recovered somewhat from the sharp decline earlier this week.
Sentiment
Sentiment in the stock markets is positive but remains nervous due to high valuations, high inflation, and interest rate policy.
Forecast
Our forecast has not changeddue to last week’s price movements. Our model had predicted a correction, and that correction is currently underway. In the coming weeks, this could bring the AEX back down to around 1,053 points. Subsequently, in the most likely scenario, the model forecasts a rise to around 1,120 points.
After that, a correction toward the 995 to 985-point range is the most likely scenario. In the long term, the positive outlook remains intact. Our model expects a new upward move within 24 months toward a new price target of 1,230 points.
A close below 920 points would invalidate this scenario and shift the technical outlook to neutral to negative. As long as this level holds, the long-term outlook remains constructive.
The chart above shows the AEX starting in mid-2025, including the expected price movement.
Nasdaq Futures
On the morning of Thursday, June 25, the Nasdaq futures contract was trading at 30,100 points. That represents a decline of 315 points, or 1%, compared to last week.
Market development
The Nasdaq futures also got off to a strong start this week and even came close to the record high of 30,975. The price then plummeted 5.5% due to increased concerns about the valuations of AI companies. On Wednesday, the lowest weekly level so far was reached at 29,264 points. On Thursday morning, the Nasdaq futures managed to recover nearly 3% to their current level.
Sentiment
Sentiment toward technology is strong. The market is highly volatile, indicating that investors are nervous.
Forecast
From its record high, the price may continue its correction in the short term to around 28,750 points. Subsequently, the price could reach a new high of 32,500 before the end of the year. After that, the major correction will be completed, and the price could move to the range between 27,500 and 26,500 points.
After this correction, the long-term uptrend may resume toward the new price target of at least approximately 34,500 points.
The chart below shows the Nasdaq futures from mid-2025 onward, including the expected scenario.

Dow Jones futures
The Dow Jones futures are currently trading at 52,350 points. That represents an increase of 120 points, or 0.2%, compared to last week.
Market development
Due to its composition, the Dow Jones futures contract is less affected by major fluctuations in AI-related companies. As a result, the price remained fairly stable just below the record high of 52,730 points.
Sentiment
Sentiment surrounding the Dow Jones futures remains fundamentally strong.
Forecast
In the short term, a slight correction to 51,500 points is possible. Subsequently, the most likely scenario is that the price will reach a new high around 54,000 points.
After that, the price may begin a larger correction toward 49,500 points. This level could then serve as a base for a new upward move toward the new long-term price target of approximately 58,700 points.
The chart below shows the Dow Jones futures starting in June 2025, including the expected price movement.
