Since our previous analysis of March 6, 2025, Sui Network has not been idle. In that article, we already highlighted the strong technical base, growing institutional interest and opportunities within DeFi and gaming. Now, several months later, we see how those expectations are translating into concrete progress within the ecosystem.

Our previous article called,"Sui: favorable entry points ahead?" can be read back here

What is Sui again?

Sui is a so-called Layer-1 blockchain, a proprietary network on which other applications can be built, similar to Ethereum or Solana, for example. What makes Sui special is that it is both lightning-fast and inexpensive to use.

The network processes many transactions simultaneously (instead of one at a time), allowing payments, games and other applications to run smoothly. This efficiency makes Sui interesting for new projects within DeFi, gaming and NFTs. Thanks to this approach, the platform is quickly becoming one of the most notable newcomers to the blockchain world.

Recent developments

Since our last article, Sui Network has made notable progress. Despite challenging market conditions, the project remains technically strong, the ecosystem continues to grow, and institutional interest is increasing. Here are the three key developments thatmake Sui relevant again:

1. Strong growth in DeFi and network activity: Total valuelocked (TVL) on Sui has increased to over $1.7 billion, a new record. This growth shows that use of the network is increasing, with more developers and dApps contributing to an increasingly strong ecosystem.

2. Increasing institutional adoption: The partnership with 21Shares marks an important step toward broader institutional access to SUI. In addition, the integration of USDC, with more than $500 million in liquidity, strengthens Sui's position within DeFi and real-world applications.

3. Technological innovation and ease of use:With the introduction of zkLogin/WebAuthn, Sui lowers the threshold for new users. At the same time, improvements to the Move framework and parallel transaction processing increase speed, efficiency and security.

Sui shows resilience and vision. The combination of growth in DeFi, institutional commitment and technological innovation confirms that the project continues to strengthen its foundation and thusmaintains its position as a promising Layer-1 blockchain.

 Price development of Sui

Since our last update in March, Sui has experienced an eventful price movement. The currency experienced strong rebounds in late April and mid-July, with the price rising to around $4.00. Then market sentiment turned, partly due to broader weakness in the crypto market since early October.

Currently, SUI is moving around $2.45, close to an important support level. As long as this zone holds between $2.35 and $1.90, a technical recovery move toward $3.00 remains possible. A close above that level could even give room towards $3.70.

However, should the current support be broken, a further pullback towards $1.90 is obvious. Thus, the coming period will mainly depend on market sentiment and whether Sui retains sufficient strength to resume upward momentum.

Conclusion

Sui Network shows that despite a challenging market, it continues to structurally build growth and adoption. Where many projects struggle to maintain momentum, Sui actually manages to strengthen its foundation. The increase in DeFi activity, collaborations with institutional parties such as 21Shares and ongoing technological innovations confirm that Sui continues to emerge as one of the most robust Layer-1 players in the market.

Although Sui's share price is under pressure in the near term, the project remains fundamentally strongly positioned. As long as current support zones hold, the coming weeks could provide interesting entry points for investors who believe in the network's long-term potential.

In short, Sui combines technical strength with growing adoption a combination that, despite temporary volatility, keeps the project attractive to both retail and institutional investors.
