The AEX opened Monday morning slightly lower at 1,018 points and then moved, as expected, towards the resistance zone around 1,031 points. The high of the week was reached at 1,028 points on Tuesday. On Thursday morning, the week's low for now was reached at 1,012 points.The market's reaction to the extension of the truce between the United States and Iran is limited for the time being and is mainly driven by slightly disappointing company figures.

Short-term sentiment is deteriorating due to continued geopolitical uncertainty surrounding Iran and the United States.At the same time, fears of resurgent inflation are increasing.

Forecast
For the coming weeks, the most likely scenario remains a correction towards the 940 to 920 points zone.
In the longer term, the positive scenario remains intact.The current correction is expected to set the stage for a new upward movement towards around 1,070 points within twelve months.
A close below 910 points invalidates this scenario and shifts the technical picture to neutral to negative. As long as this level holds, the long-term outlook remains constructive.

The Nasdaq futures are trading at 26,975 points on Thursday morning, April 23, up 490 points, or 1.85% from last week.
Market Trend
The week started slightly lower at 26,600 points, after which the Nasdaq, in line with expectations, steamed through to a new record high of 27,136 points.The index thus realized a strong rise of about 17% in April.
Forecast
According to our model, the Nasdaq may correct from its current level towards 25,500 points. After this correction, the long-term upward trend can resume, with a price target around 28,500 points.

Dow Jones Industrial Average
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is currently trading at 49,370 points, up 670 points, or 1.4% from last week.

The index opened the week slightly lower at 49,300 points and, in line with the broader market, managed to continue rising later in the week.The weekly high was reached at 50,041 points.
Forecast
In the short term, the Dow Jones may start a correction towards 45,000 points. This level can then act as the basis for a new upward movement towards around 53,700 points.
