Transfer from an existing portfolio
You have made the choice: you are going to invest through Yelza. Congratulations, that's great news! Welcome to the family.
Do you already have a wallet somewhere else? Then you will naturally want to move it in full or in part. We are happy to take care of it for you. It only takes three steps.
Step 1: Open an account with Yelza
The most logical: open an account with us through which you can trade. This so-called brokerage account is the key to success and your basis for investing. This can be done quickly and easily on our website. And it's usually free too!

Step 2: Use transfer form
Then fill in the transfer form. You must also enclose an overview of the desired security positions that you wish to transfer.
Step 3: We take care of the rest
We will then process your data and pass it on to Interactive Brokers. They will then contact you to finalise the transfer.
Important to know:
- Although transferring a portfolio is often free, in some cases fees may be charged by third parties. This is the case, for example, with shares on the Asian market or with the DRS (Direct Registration System). The old party where your portfolio was held can also charge costs, such as your former bank or broker.
- Please note that the account from which the portfolio is transferred and the account to which the portfolio is transferred must be in exactly the same name. You also cannot transfer portfolios from a joint account to a sole account or vice versa.
- It can take 4 to 6 weeks to move a portfolio. Unfortunately, we have no control over this timescale.
- You cannot trade with them during the transfer of your securities. So make sure you don't move securities which you intend to buy or sell in the short term.
